Halstead & District Chamber of Trade & Commerce
Halstead & District Chamber of Trade & Commerce is an independent, non-profit making organisation set up to provide support, advice, resources and funding for all types of businesses in Halstead and surrounding areas.
Our key objective is to help create a thriving and high quality business environment in the region by:
- Promoting Halstead as a desirable location for business, development opportunities and economic prosperity.
- Creating a programme of town activities to entice more visitors
- Providing regular open forums for discussion of local business issues
- Running quarterly ‘Business Breakfast’ networking events
- Promoting the ‘Shop Local’ theme
- Funding other Halstead organisations wherever possible (e.g. Halstead in Bloom)
- Working with other Chambers of Commerce and business organisations in the area to promote networking and exchange information
- Ensuring local businesses have a voice and that our business interests are represented within Town and District Councils
- Creating and maintaining the Halstead Website (www.halstead.org.uk) which, amongst other things, lists all businesses operating in our region
